Established in 1947, the White City Tennis Club is one of Australia’s most significant historical sporting clubs which has been the home of tennis for New South Wales.
It has traditionally been able to supply outstanding social and sporting facilities, including grass and synthetic tennis courts, change room and showers, together with quality restaurant and licensed Bar.
These facilities are unfortunately not available at present, due to a falling out with the proposed developer of the site, which should have by now seen the construction of a world class sporting complex.
The Developer simply has not performed as promised and WCTC is therefore in the process of a Supreme Court action against the companies, following eviction from our Club house and courts.
It is the WCTC Board’s strong belief that the court case will be judged in our favour, which should result in WCTC once more occupying the Club House, reinstating the Bar and facilities and the 10 grass courts which are part of the site.
The Club will retain its identity and run Socials, Competitions and enter teams in the MGCA Badge competitions albeit on other courts.
These pages are retained for historical reasons, Playing on the 6 Synthetic Courts and Two Centre courts is available till 31st March after which time White City Tennis Club will be providing alternative courts for its Financial members. |
